I've graduated! Now I can actually throw my weight around regarding communication disorders and Latin.

As for this site, I have some plans. Right now, as I'm researching some occult stuff, I'm thinking of writing something short about how to avoid Nazis in (little s) satanism, because dear lord (Lucifer), there's too much ONAgunk on these books people keep recommending. And on the same thought, maybe I'll start on my JoS expose. Least now I don't have to obey the whims of Tumblr politeness, and can link directly to their bullshit. If you get suckered into it while I'm pointing out their Mesopotamian-extraterrestrial-antivax Nazi bullshit, well, maybe you were just destined to get suckered in eventually.

In case it has to be said explicitly: this is obviously a Nazi-unsafe zone, and this is speficially a hostile zone to Nazi satanists. I understand LaVey let you fuckheads proliferate (and don't start your bullshit about how your theistic satanism is older than the C of S, you sound like a Wiccan saying she's the daughter of the witches they forgot to burn), but you lot ought to be excised. And you atheistic Nazi satanists? I see you. I know what lines from the C of S canon you're going to spout at me. Gilmore said the quiet part out loud, and LaVey got louder the more books he published, regardless of if it made him sound like a senile grandpa complaining about stereo radio or not. Make an android out of yourself and fuck it.

I would say I'm sorry for being heated, but I must emphasise to those of you who have no experience in this culture: these aren't Nazis in the stereotypical leftist sense, where anyone who doesn't agree with them is a Nazi or a fascist. I mean actual, self-identified, political Nazis. JoS's founder got her hubby ousted from his chairman position at the National Socialist (yknow, Nazis) party because Christian Nazis and Non-Christian Nazis mix poorly, and ONA has direct connections to Atomwaffen Division, along with a smattering of genuine terror attacks. Not even C of S, which despite its declared apoliticality, has always supported eugenics, and if Isaac Bonewits article about his experience in the C of S is to be believed, Nazism was allowed to take root in the church (which, given both LaVey and Aquino's inclinations, is likely true).

If anyone asks me why I don't tend to interact with other satanists, this is why. You have actual self-identified neo-Nazis on one side, and then the kind of leftists I've been trying to escape from on the other. I'm sure cool satanists exist out there, I just wish they were the ones publishing books and making movements.

To get back on topic, along with... all that... I might make a more prose-description of classpects based on Classpecting Meta. I have thoughts on the aspects and how to define them in a way that makes sense, though I do feel like that XKCD comic about making a unified system just to end up with another system for the bunch. C'est la vie.

11.01.2025

I published the secret Halloween essay. School is kicking my ass so don't expect any more big uploads. I'm working on setting up and RSS feed, though, which should be the next big update to the site.

09.14.2025

I'm aware some of the images aren't loading. This seems to be an issue with either my internet or Catbox. I'm giving it time since Catbox has always worked but if it doesn't resolve in a week or so, I'll host my images somewhere else. In the meantime, I will be continuing to move my essays over, though Crystalline Capitalism is going to be more than a little incomprehensible without all the images.

09.13.2025

Been a month since I've posted anything, but I've ported over Classpecting Meta and How The Emoji Movie Failed, as well as updating my Snape bot link to point to Xoul rather than WyvernChat. Xoul was the original host, and now that its back, I'm moving it back there.

Also, I've had this kinda-essay kinda-video script on my Docs for a year or so, and I'm going to do something fun with it. I don't know how the map tag works, but by god, this is the best use for it.

08.18.2025

School is starting up again, so expect this site to be mostly dormant. I'm going to work on transferring the articles over, but I'll probably be slow to publish another essay.

08.10.2025

Good news! I didn't need to fuss with the CSS much at all to get a good result with it. I have also published the updated Portrait of a Potions Master, and while there are some bugs I want to work out, I'm very happy with how it looks. It doesn't even take up that much space on the site too!

This means I can focus on something else, something NEW! PRobably the crystal healing essay, but I might be talking about something else related to rocks soon. Depends on if I'm in the mood for metaphysics or regular physics.

08.04.2025

I've decided that I'm going to be porting over my essays to be hosted on Neocities. That way, I don't have to rely on an external service to host them. The only problem is space, but I believe that it'll take a while for me to reach my data cap.

The good news is that GDocs exports to HTML, meaning I don't have to code everything by hand. However, I'll need to make webpages for everything, which means I have to fuss with CSS to make something accessible and pretty. Expect some some things to break while I figure everything out!

07.25.2025

So, I've learned through some fanfic circles that GDocs is banning people for TOS violations for writing gore and porn. Considering the secret Halloween project, I'm worried about the sustainability of using GDocs (and Google products in general) for this site. I have no idea what I'm going to do.

The reason I use GDocs is because its so much easier to update essays whenever I need to edit them. I'm writing these blogposts in the native Neocities editor, and I try to avoid using italics because I can't select-CTRL+I it. I don't want to port everything over to this site and have all my essays be on there, due to how my website works and also out of concerns of using up my 1GB of free space.

Ugh. This shit hard. I'll be experimenting with different methods soon. If all else fails, we're going back to PDFs.

07.24.2025

The galaxy rotates now. Been planning to do that for a while.

I'm a little burnt out, and college is starting soon, so expect the site to go dormant again. I'll still be working on things, but at a much slower pace. I've just been wanting to lay around and do nothing, and considering how much I love working on my projects, that's the kind of out-of-character behaviour I have to listen to.

If anyone wants to know: it was the secret Halloween project that burnt me out. Protip: don't read a novel's worth of decent-to-bad writing in four hours. The Halloween project is almost done, but I have another big chunk of it to tackle that I'm not looking forward to, but I have time to rest anyways since I need to finish another part of it.

07.15.2025

I've finally added the data I was missing to Classpecting Meta, did some minor formatting corrections, and also added a conclusion where I use my findings on other media. Very fun! I'm considering making a "cheat sheet" version if you want something to easily refer to. I'll also be picking over Home Calls the ET for similar reasons, and may make something similar, but I'm not sure yet. You can count on Vvivvisection and Portrait to have condensed versions, the former happening sooner than the latter since I'm still working on it.

07.14.2025

The Starseed article should be going live tomorrow or the day after. I'll be formatting the citations in the sheet for a while after that, though, and I'll be doing the same for my classpecting sheet.

This means more time freed up for Portrait, which I've not worked on in a while. I've been prioritising my fanfic (I'm on chapter 3 now!), the starseed essay, and some additions to Classpecting Meta. I've also been working on the Halloween project, but it's a slowburn kind of deal. It's big and covers a lot, so I'm taking it one thing at a time. I've got until October to get it done, which is more than enough time.

07.12.2025

I believe that, in a twist of bad karma, I have been cursed with a repetitive strain injury. I am trying to undo the wizard curse.

07.06.2025

After asking all of my technical friends and also having no money to spend on someone to program this for me, I vibe-coded the script I needed with ChatGPT. I'm not really happy about having to do that. My take on generative AI is more nuanced than a lot of people I interact with (obviously so considering I like fucking around with it). If I had access to a human that was willing to program this, I would've done so. I'm not sharing the program because I feel like if someone were to make a program of this sort, I'd rather them get the credit for the (probably much better) code than me. I'm not a programmer - if I was I wouldn't use ChatGPT!

This prompted (lmao) me to write a statement on my opinions of AI, which is here.

TLDR: I run this website as a hobby and I write the articles on it as a hobby. I have no interest in using AI to do my hobbies for me, but I do think it is a fun - though mostly useless and usually unethical - bit of technology. I don't think it should replace humans, nor do I think its capable of replacing humans right now, but I'd rather not spend a month or six sifting through my data by hand when I'd rather be writing my analysis of that data.

6.29.2025

The classpecting essay is finally published. Keep an eye out for changes as I get the program that lets me do some finer analyses. I'm publishing it now because the data thats of use to most people is done. I'm not sure when it will be finished finished but hopefully soon!

I do want to say that the raw data is a mess and I need to go back and reformat it all to remove spelling errors and properly archive all the links, but I'm tired of this project and I'll probably hit it when I need busywork to do. Snessay editing is going good, I'm taking it slowly to not overwhelm myself with the sheer amount of citations I have to fix and pretty up. Eugh, what was I thinking, formatting them like this? This is ridiculous, and I know it was worse than that because some of my beta readers pointed out how terrible my citations were formatted then.

You may have noticed a bunch of non-linked essays. These are essays I plan to write and I'm putting them there to remind myself to write them.

Also: I've finally gestated a story for the necessary one whole year, and I'll finally get around to writing it sometime in July. I wish it didn't take me so damn long and I don't know what my issue is in taking so damn long. If I feel like it I'll publish it here.

6.28.2025

The classpecting essay is done. I'm currently formatting it, but I will say, it will be published without data, as I'm waiting for my programmer friends to get back to me on a script to do the hard work for me in comparing what systems are similar/divergent. Expect me to publish it tomorrow and to update it when I'm able to organise.

This means a pivot to the "magical girl hell project" now that time's been freed up. I'm thinking I can get the data collection done in a handful of days, but the actual hard part is going to be watching all of the MR game's story cutscenes to see what decisions the MR anime changed. It's like a days worth of footage just for the first arc, which is all I care about for this essay, but I will need to watch more (or at least skip around more) for the essay I plan to do on Alina.

6.27.2025

The classpecting essay is nearly complete. I've decided to go through my written essays and insert roughly when I started working on them since I think it would be interesting to see how long I spend on each. Because it's almost done, I'll be working more on Portrait, which I am dreading.

If anyone can give me a PDF scan of all seven Harry Potter books so I can refine my citations down to page and paragraph, I will kiss you on the mouth. I'm fine not citing that specifically right now, but eventually I would like to. It might be something I hit up the library for.

I'll also start working on the "magical girl hell project" again now that I've taken a break from having to do it. At least I'll be tracking less characters with PMMM, and there's only 12 episodes to cut up.

6.13.2025

Vvivvisection is finally done and about 1k shorter. I'm pleased that I could cut that much out of it. The shorter the better! This means I can focus on rewriting Portrait of a Potions Master, which is going to take so much longer. Though I will say, Vvivvisection only took me as long as it did because I was making the citations more clear. I don't own physical copies of the HP books so I won't be able to do that for Portrait, though I would like to eventually. However, the citations on Portrait are kinda gross as they are and I anticipate unspaghettifying them to be a paaaain.

Oh well. I'm chunking away at my seasonal essay and the classpect essay. The former will be easy to write once all the data is organised.

6.10.2025

Still working on Vvivvisection, but I'm transferring some very old articles from an old metaphysics site over to the new format. There's one on geomancy that I've already published, and there's one on starseeds and crystal healing that I'm working on transferring over. Please note that, unless otherwise stated, these articles are unedited, and are not up to quality. I'm publishing them now so I can get them transferred and not have to worry about losing them, NOT because they're good. When I rewrite them, I'll treat them as though they are new articles - because they essentially will be.

Beyond Vvivvisection I have a bunch of small, forgotten projects I'd like to clean up and publish. These include supplemental material for Portrait of a Potions Master which will come out after I finish cleaning that essay up, an analysis of Alina Gray from MR, a map-making tutorial, an essay on Glarthir from Oblivion, an essay on bases/recolours (blast from the past, I know), an essay about classpects from Homestuck, and a Halloween project I ought to start now before school starts. Aren't I busy!

Aside from this, I'll be cleaning up the geomancy JavaScript program I wrote years ago and adding my Snape chatbot on my page. I don't know why its taken this long to add either, but here we are.

6.7.2025

I lied. Crystalline Capitalism was updated first because it was a much smaller essay. I'll probably hit Playing Mother Grub next since its similarly contained, and then How The Emoji Movie Failed since its the most recent essay that I don't anticipate having to edit that much.

6pm edit: Playing Mother Grub is done. Vvvivvisection is next, but not today, my head hurts.

6.6.2025

Such Vvulgarity! has been updated to the new format. It has also been rewritten to an extent to make it easier to read. The citations have also gotten a slight update; hopefully they're easier to navigate now! I will probably be doing Vvvivvisection next.

While I do this, I'm also working on rewriting the whole of Portrait of a Potions Master since I don't like the philosophy of writing I had at that time. The information is still good, but the writing is poor and the citations are gross (why are they inside of punctuation???). But I am tired so I will start tomorrow.

6.1.2025

In an effort to make this website more accessible, I'm trying to move away from PDFs and to more screen-reader friendly documents. However, GDocs is being fussy with its publishing feature, so I'll have to redo the formatting of all of my documents. I'm not sure if I want to keep the PDFs, but I'm happy to prettify my documents while making them easier to read.

In other news, I'm going to split up my "creations" tab into subpages, since it's getting too long for my liking. I've also merged the updates page with this one since I use this page to update anyways.

Also: I've finished crunching numbers for half of what I've been calling the "magical girl hell project" (the Magia Record thing I mentioned last) but I need to take a break from it. It was hard work, and I've not even gotten to making sense of it all, nor started on the original Madoka. Being meguca really IS suffering!

5.17.2025

It's finally out! My Emoji Movie essay is finally out!

I'm working on a Magia Record essay next, along with an MLP: FiM and High Guardian Spice. Can't tell you which will be out first (but its not HGS since I've not started on it). I may revisit my Snape essay and build out more Snape essay content. There is truly so much to talk about with him.

5.7.2025

Expect The Emoji Movie essay to drop in the next week.

5.6.2025

The Emoji Movie essay is almost done but I'm torn between wasting energy on it and finishing an outline for a fic. Extenuating circumstances mean I have to devote a lot of time to other things to make sure I'm alive so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to upload here. I like having my little website in the chaos.

I feel like video essays have displaced classic essays. I'm Quinton Reviewsing characters and media, but my reach is limited because I'm fully text-based. I'm aware that accessibility to my writing is an issue given that I use GDocs and PDFs, and I'm not sure how to fix that without compromising on parity, but I am considering making audio versions of all my documents that are Done done, and the same if I ever publish any fics. I'm also considering making the transition to video for both accessibility and fun, but this site and its text are paramount.

4.17.2025

Added about 50 links, going to add 10 more when I sort them properly. One day I'll have over 600 links.

Anyways, the essay on The Emoji Movie is coming along well. I finally saw The LEGO Movie and holy hell. I feel like I drank water after a lifetime of drinking soda. I watched a bunch of other movies too. I forgot how sexual Foodfight is, and for what? Nothing here looks good enough to fuck. When I'm done with The Emoji Movie essay, I'll probably pivot into High Guardian Spice or maybe Magia Record. The latter would be a shorter essay because my issues with the MR anime all come from one thing, but if I do the former, expect it to be structured like The Emoji Movie essay.

That thing will come out soon! Maybe by the end of the month or beginning of the next? I don't know yet. Life's been hell, school's been hard, I've not got a lot of time to spend on it and I need to watch The LEGO Movie again. Protip: Don't watch 5 movies in one day, they all run together.

4.6.2025

The Emoji Movie essay is 2/3rds done, I just need to talk about the actual movie now and not just its production and reception. This means I get to watch a bunch of good movies too... and Foodfight. I'll probably be adding more links today, and if not today, probably next week. I'll also be cleaning up some of my past essays too. The context won't change, but the formatting will be a little nicer to look at.

I'm also considering publishing some fanfics here. I have a short one that I could probably write in a week or two, and then once I've edited it down, I may put it here. I don't know, though.

2.19.2025

All I'm gonna say is that I'm working on something Emoji Movie related.

2.16.2025

Added more links as well as a random link picker.

1.22.2025

School started so I'm probably not going to update the website substantially. I've discovered what jangle pop is because I only want to listen to The Smiths and artists like The Smiths right now. I've already listened to all of The Smiths. Jangle pop is the closest genre to that, and dipping into shoegaze because why not.

I'm trying to get better at drawing too. I don't know if I'll post anything yet, but I'm barely into this course. It's working well though!

1.6.2025

Snow cancelled my psych appointment unfortunately. Collecting some links that should go live whenever. I found a cool music player I'd like to add but I'd need songs to put on it, so if I do add it, it'll later.

Can someone whip me into finishing a writing thing I have to get done.

1.3.2025

The library-links merge is done. Stars should render on some iframes, at least the important ones. I have also added in custom cursors as well as a custom favourite icon for the links section. A custom favicon for links has been added too.

1.2.2025

Removed the library section and and am currently merging it with links. It felt redundant. Currently in the process of doing that so the pages might look weird. Organising the links further: favourites, normal, and other. Favourites are marked with a temporary GIF, normal are below and are unmarked, and other are under a details tab. I thought the links were getting too unruly to use so I thought this would be the best way of preserving information while making it easier to navigate. I have also decided to mark when links have been added. New links will have proper dates, older links are marked with "2024" since I don't remember when they were added.

Woke up at 4pm again. This time it is because I have COVID. But COVID didn't stop me from cleaning the fuck out of my room. It looks pretty good! New year, new room. I bought some things to hang up pictures too, so I can reorganise my wall.

The bank is still giving me trouble paying off three whole dollars on my credit card. Why do I need a checking account if I have a savings account? Can't I just pay from there? My partner can do that, so why can't I? I'll call tomorrow about it.

2024 Blog Posts
12.29.2024

I accidentally pulled an all nighter last night and it meant I forgot my medicine. Went a little manic but I weaponised it for good rather than evil. Decided enough was enough after about 30 hours because I kept seeing my cat on my shelf when he wasn't actually there. Woke up today at 4pm which is upsetting but I'll get things done.

12.21.2024

I got home yesterday. Finished Evangelion.

I want to redo some articles I did on another account, so expect articles on a particular satanic group and on rocks eventually.

12.19.2024

I've decided to make a blog feature on my site so I can talk about things more.

An update for a roadmap. I am crunching numbers for Mother Grub because I feel like my "just take my word for it" approach reflects badly on me. No idea when it will be done. As for other essays, I am working on a thorough thrashing of Good Flag, Bad Flag, as well as a review of classpecting. I am considering doing a character analysis on another character, but I won't say who! It's a secret! It isn't if you know me, but if you don't, you'll never guess! Speaking of Elder Scrolls, I might write something about how Skyrim is narratively biased towards the Stormcloaks.

I've been reading a lot of books recently. I liked Jekyll and Hyde when I was in high school, but I was bored by it, since everyone knows the twist. Without the twist, there's no gripping plot, no real mystery, and Jekyll is the only character that sticks out, and only barely. I then read The Picture of Dorian Gray. I liked that a lot more. The interplay between Henry, Basil, and Dorian makes the book for me. I feel like Dorian's fall from grace was rushed, but the culmination did hit, and the ending was solid. I would reccommend it! Finally, I read Carmilla, and it was okay. I liked it better than Jekyll and Hyde, and I liked Carmilla (manic pixie dream vamp?), but I think it suffered from the same issue as Jekyll and Hyde. The characters were not fleshed out, but the twist was better executed, likely because I didn't know it beforehand.

I will read The Vampyre next, and then either Jane Eyre or The Woman In White.

I get to look forward to a 12hr train ride tomorrow. I watched half of Evangelion on the first train ride, and I expect to finish it. I love Evangelion!

Site Updates

2024 Site Updates

12.29.2024 - Site should be more colourful. Added some trailing stars to the index that I will have to add to every subpage, but that's a tomorrow task. Added a button if you want to link to my site. I'll be hunting for some cursors soon, and if I can't find any, I'll make them myself. Added four new music playlists because I'm on that lost media grind. My PDFs are now embedded in the site!

12.23.2024 - Updated my SPORE mod list and moved some things around. Also added a new music playlist. I don't listen to a lot of pop, so it's only 150 songs or so right now.

12.22.2024 - Uploaded a new article and made a custom favicon. Updated the about text more and shuffled some things around.

12.21.2024 - Made a trello! Go into Blog to see it.

12.19.2024 - Made a blog tab so I can share my thoughts on things. I also added a temporary favicon and cursor. I was meaning to do that months ago, but only now got around to it. I'll make custom graphics later.

12.17.2024 - Moved some things on the Creations tab. It should look much cleaner now. Also updated my signature code archive! I've taken down my 2022 essays. I'll be formatting them properly sometime soon.

12.8.2024 - The essays are back up now!

12.1.2024 - I've taken down a few essays because I'm reformatting and rewriting them. However, I've finally published my Snessay! It took me six whole months to write!

11.22.2024 - Added a cool galaxy graphic I made to replace the random images. Makes the site look more cohesive. Minor cosmetic changes outside of that.

11.21.2024 - Moving the dragons tab to be under blinkies. Working on adding all my dragons to the randomiser. I'd also like to add links to both library and links pages that give you a random link on those pages.

11.17.2024 - Links and library are online now. Decided to make them subsites because they're too large (and also I couldn't figure out how to remove the double scrollbars from two iframes.

11.16.2024 - Updated some backgrounds, CSS, and logos. Shuffling more things around as I try to make things more organised.

11.12.2024 - Links section is currently down. There are too many and I need a better way of handling them.

11.11.2024 - Added a bunch of links to my link section.

10.11.2024 - Trying to edit the links section into something coherent. Added dragons tab - please check out my dragons!

4.21.2024 - Added some pages. Reorganised the landing page. Summer is coming which means free time to work on the site.

2.27.2024 - Started remaking the site to be more responsive. Slight redesign.
