WIP while i figure this out
While the title says this is for non-therians, I expect therians to use this. Why wouldn't they? I got this information from therians, and so, the information I give will be returned back. However, as I'm not a therian, advice will be geared more towards non-therians: there will be no mentions of shifting, gear, etc..
To set your expectations, I ought to describe myself at the time I learned to do this. I was overweight and non-athletic, and spent almost all of my day sitting down. My only exercise was walking to, from, and around my college. I was able to carry my 8lbs cat in both arms, but not either or. Furthermore, I was dealing with heart issues, which limited the extent of my exercise. The main area I exercised in was my room with a hardwood floor, and I had about 8ft of walkable area on average. If I practiced outside of my room, it would be on carpet.
4/6/23 - Chased my cat outside of my room for a about 1-2 minutes. Could not get from the end of my living room to my bathroom without breaks. Tried to gallop but failed and hurt my dominant hand wrist. Not fully gotten the hang of the balancing I need to do to remain upright; I fell on my face once because my balance was shifted too far forward. However, my form is improving, it feels more natural, and I'm figuring out how to position my legs to walk comfortably. I am now understanding the evolutionary need for a tail. Trying to build arm strength in my chair by holding my body off my chair with my arms; can only support my body for a second, requiring rest between each time.
3/22/24 - Did 5 laps slowly. Dominant hand wrist pain, arm pain in dominant arm (extensor carpi ulnaris). Twisted my leg while turning; pain around plantaris muscle. Referencing how wolves walk.
3/21/24 - Did 5 laps. Wrist pain in dominant hand is more severe. Starting to get upper back pain as well as both tops of my thighs hurting. Upper arm pain in my left arm. Neck pain. I think 5 laps was too much.
3/20/24 - Stamina is still bad but my form is improving. I'm able to walk more smoothly and quickly but for only about 30s to 1m. My thighs are pressed against my stomach which is more comfortable. Wrist pain. Did about 3 laps, about 30s each, with breaks in-between. Stopped due to wrist pain on dominant hand.
3/19/24 - Could only do 10 pushups today.
3/18/24 - Started doing wall pushups. Did 50 with breaks per 10.
3/16/24 - Inbid.
3/15/24 - Heard about quadrobics and decided to try it. Poor form, poor stamina, wrist pain. Sustaining body weight on my arms is clearly an issue.
